About My Clients

I often hear clients ask 'are my problems big enough for therapy?' My answer is always YES. Anyone can benefit from therapy by having a neutral person act in your favor. You don't need a certain qualifier to have 'big enough' issues to need therapy. I often find that these are the clients I attract. Clients who are in transition periods, whether it be a new relationship or ending one, career, or school, and are wanting clarity on how to move forward in a way that is authentic.

My Background and Approach

In our sessions I provide a safe, caring and non-judgmental space. My style is genuine, compassionate, curious, and direct (and a sense of humor never hurts). Together we'll create clear goals, uncover your stuck points and limiting beliefs so that you can take action and create the life you want to live. I incorporate mindfulness-based practices to give you practical tools to use in your everyday life. My goal is to help you gain awareness into the connection between your mind and body and how this impacts your thoughts and behaviors. Not sure why you're acting in ways that don't make sense to you? Feeling unfulfilled and just plain stuck? We'll talk about the conflicting parts of you and how you might be functioning from a belief system that's no longer serving you. I want to help you get back in the driver's seat of your life.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe in the power of change, human resilience and inner strength. I'm of the view that you are the expert of your life and I act as the guide. One of the most important parts of therapy is the relationship itself. It's SO important to feel connected to your therapist and feel like they get you. The process of finding a therapist can be super daunting. Trust me, I get it and I've been there before. Good therapists go to their own therapy and do their own personal work. I want to be the best version of myself so I can help you get there too. I am open-minded and accepting of all sexual orientations, races, ethnicities, spiritual beliefs, and backgrounds. If you want to know how I feel about a certain topic, ask away. I'm an OC native and find my calm when I'm near the water. I love yoga, breathwork, sunny days, podcasts and planning adventures. I still struggle with balance, comparison and surfing. I look forward to getting to know more about you.
