About My Clients
My clients are engaging in therapy to make sense of their experiences, find healing and meaning. They have experienced disconnection with themselves, others or the world within which they live, and are trying to re-connect and find belonging. My ideal client values the therapeutic relationship as an intimate relationship and is willing to bring their whole and authentic selves to each session.
My Background and Approach
I am a trained multicultural therapist and licensed professional counselor and healer. My work centers around healing wounds through (re)connection with our authentic selves, each other and our communities. I use an integrative approach that is aligned with relational cultural therapy. I support my clients to live whole, meaningful lives with the power to disrupt unhealthy connections and gain mutually healthy ones. I am committed to affirming our individual and collective lives by energizing personal resources and strengths to help in the healing process and foster resilience.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in rest and healing. I believe in connection and interdependence. I believe in resisting violence in all forms. I am a member of the immigrant African and LGBTQIA+ community and I support the Black Lives Matter movement.
