Well there is no such thing as an ideal client, I can only hope that when I sit across from my client they are honest and dedicated to getting better. The hope is that everyone understands that therapy is not a one size fits all treatment we have to consistently adjust our sessions to match in a way that reaches you.
My Background and Approach
Mr. Isiah Green is a clinical psychologist specializing in counseling teens, young adults, men, and women. He is a graduate of Pepperdine University with a master’s degree in Marriage & Family Therapy. He spent 8 years serving as a member of the United States Navy, 4 of which were spent working as a Sexual Assault Victim Advocate for members and family of the armed services. Mr. Green holds his license with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. He has a Master’s in Marriage & Family Therapy. He specializes in work with individuals/couples dealing with depression, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Attention Deficit Disorder, anxiety, domestic violence, PTSD, Sex/Porn Addiction and many other mental health issues.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Mr. Green is well versed in various therapeutic methods and styles when working with children, adults, families, and veterans, and is dedicated to helping you find the method that works best and will help guide you through your therapeutic journey. As a veteran himself, he is also dedicated to providing a welcoming and safe space for you to feel uplifted and supported. Mr. Green’s therapeutic approaches include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy – focuses on challenging and changing negative thoughts and behaviors. Narrative Therapy - utilizes the art of storytelling via verbal, written, poem, music that identifies the patient’s values and skills empowering you with the ability to live such values and effectively confront past, current, and future traumas/problems. Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) – focuses on actively working toward solutions by helping you identify what you do well, encouraging you to identify your strengths in order to reach your goals.
