I find Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) effective in combating the overwhelmingness of depression and anxiety. This evidence-based therapy modality can be used to retrain your mind to more helpful ways of thinking and give you a better sense of control over your actions.
DBT can be especially helpful in treating personality disorders; however, I find certain elements of this modality helpful for just about everyone I work with.
I have been trained in level 1 and 2 of Gottman modality, allowing me to assist couples in rekindling their compassion and love for one another.
