About My Clients
I help creative adults and teens who are struggling with self-esteem, religious beliefs/trauma, and relationships. Guided by principles of mindfulness, acceptance, and empowerment, my work focusses on your healing from experiences of bullying, abusive relationships, and difficult life events such as divorce. Together, let’s discover new paths and ways of being that will lead you to healing, growth, and meaningful change.
My Background and Approach
I have a MS in Marital and Family Therapy from CSUDH and I have trained at Southern California Counseling Center for the past 2 years, where I continue to help clients navigate issues related to anxiety, depression, trauma, and communication. I bring empathic curiosity and honesty in our exploration of your truth, values, and experiencing. With creativity, patience, and authenticity, I will strive to help you navigate the nuances of life that are influenced by culture, societal norms, and biological responses. Acceptance, mindfulness, and empowerment will be the guiding principles of our work. Together, we will unveil all that you are facing and discover new paths and ways of being that will lead you to experience healing, growth, and meaningful change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a mixed-raced, Japanese American, cis/hetero male. I value creativity, social justice, and diversity. I am active in supporting the LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities. Therapy has played a large role in my own journey processing and healing from depression, historical family trauma, and identity struggles. I also have a BA in Music Theory from Azusa Pacific University. I enjoy songwriting, bouldering/climbing, and reading manga/fiction.
