I utilize cognitive-behavioral, sensorimotor regulation, mindfulness, as well as art and play therapies. Art and play therapy are useful in helping children put words to their feelings and experiences in a safe environment.
As a school counselor, I am excited to extend my passion for supporting children and adolescents in their social and emotional well-being. I have extensive knowledge navigating school struggles with typical and challenging behaviors. Prior to working as a school counselor, I was director of an extended school year program Seattle Children’s Hospital Bellevue. This program served students with Autism and ASD. I also worked with individual children on at-home programs with the goal of increasing social and life skill behaviors.
I am a fully licensed mental health counselor with my doctorate in community care and counseling specializing in traumatology.
