About My Clients
I create a safe, no-pressure space where you can explore what’s going on in that wonderfully unique brain of yours. Think of me as your co-pilot: I bring the tools, insights, and dad-level humor, and you steer the ship. Let’s figure out how to quiet the noise, embrace your quirks. Whether that is feeling like a panic attack is right around the corner, or simply feeling overwhelmed with life as a whole. Let's figure out where to start this journey together.
My Background and Approach
I’ve worked in places most people only see in TV dramas—psychiatric prisons, jails, inpatient hospitals, and sex rehab programs. (Yes, I’ve probably heard it all—no judgment here!) These days, I do telehealth, so you can talk to me from the comfort of your couch, bed, or wherever your cat insists on sitting. My goal? To make therapy approachable. Whether you’re neurodivergent, facing big changes, or just wondering why life feels so extra, I create a safe, no-pressure space to explore it all.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone is capable of change, although, we sometimes are expected to change/grow at the rate of somebody else's expectations, which sucks. I hear a lot of times "I didn't want to be like my parents and now I'm exactly like them" or something along these lines. I believe this perception happens because we aren't taught techniques to break the cycles of problems or dysfunctions growing up, which is only exacerbated by societal expectations of who we are supposed to be. I believe we have deep societal problems with topics of "what does it actually mean to be feminine" or "what does it actually mean to be masculine". These topics unfortunately are tied to so many dysfunctional and illogical thoughts about ourselves. My mentor was a behavioral neuroscientist, not a psychologist. I got the amazing privledge of running a neuroscience lab for several years learning intimately how behaviors can be changed and how the nuance of the brain works. I bring this knowledge into therapy
