In the therapy room I have found that teenagers usually feel like they are misunderstood whether it is by their parents, teachers, friends or others. I myself am a third culture kid! For those of you who don’t know, a third culture kid is someone who was raised outside of their parent’s home country. I was raised in Central America and moved to the United States when I was ten years old and the transition was HARD. I didn’t understand why I was so different than most of the other kids who just grew up in one country for their whole lives.
