About My Clients
I believe everything happens for a reason and we all have a purpose. That being said, it's sometimes hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Often times, we are stuck in old habits of thinking, feeling and communicating. As a therapist, my goal is to assist you through the change process while providing a non-judgmental, safe space. Keeping therapy both interactive and collaborative we embark together on this journey.
My Background and Approach
I believe in taking a holistic view, utilizing a multi-modality approach to fit each individual need including CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and DBT (Dialectal Behavioral Therapy) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) interventions. I've spent many years focusing on treating substance use, eating disorders and trauma.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am an avid animal lover with previous experience in equine therapy. I also have a new puppy Bleu who I plan to make my to make my therapy dog in training. I have specialized interpersonal violence training (including physical, sexual and emotion abuse). As well as experience treating life transitions, depression and relationship concerns.
