Life is beautiful, messy, and complex. However, healing and transformation can occur regardless of our past, upbringing, or circumstances.

About My Clients

“I know I was born, and I know that I’ll die / The in-between is mine.” ~ Pearl Jam. How’s your in-between treating you? Are you living by your rules or someone else’s? Relationships not as great as they could be? Are family or work dynamics causing increased stress? Are you overwhelmed or overthinking about anything and everything? We are the experts of our own lives. But sometimes, we need an outside perspective to help us work through the complexities to shape our ideal in-between.

My Background and Approach

I’m in my final year of completing my Marriage and Family Therapy graduate degree at Capella University, a COMFTE-approved program. I am supervised by three Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists: Shari Davison, Liz Gregory, and Dr. Terri Mathias. From an integrative therapy approach, I’ll help you navigate life’s entanglements, transitions, stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, family conflict, work/life imbalances, grief, and trauma. I’ve been in a committed partnership for 18 years, experiencing the ebbs and flows of relationships. I also have 20+ years of corporate experience, understanding its complexities and politics to help you discover ways to prioritize yourself in that environment. During our initial sessions, we will explore the issues you are comfortable with and work together to develop a strategy for dealing with them in a way that will help you regain your life.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that fresh air can shift your mood and perspective, music is a magical healing tool, you’re never too old to play, and taking a nap is never a waste of time. I believe trust is earned, not given. I believe therapy is one of the best investments you can make for yourself. Through my own therapy and having a trusted therapist by my side, I’ve learned to successfully manage when my past seeps into my present, personal insecurities, anxiety, depression, grief, loss, and trauma. I wish the same for you and would be honored to walk beside you on your journey to healing. I offer a nonjudgmental and supportive space for your personal exploration. I’m allied with the LGBTQ+ community and incorporate cultural awareness and sensitivity into my practice. Healing and transformation take work, and it will be uncomfortable, but it is absolutely worth it.
