About My Clients
With so much uncertainty & worry in the world many of us are trying to feel grounded, connected & healed. Through therapy, I support you in figuring out what you want your life to look like & I provide a safe space to explore what's holding you back. I specialize in working with people suffering from anxiety, depression & difficult life transitions. In our work together, I provide tools & strategies to help you push past any challenges you're facing so you can become who you want to be.
My Background and Approach
Throughout my career, I’ve worked with teens and adults in therapeutic settings like residential programs, schools, and outpatient offices. In specialized work with trauma survivors suffering from anxiety and depression, I have advanced training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Depending on your needs and your goals, I use a combination of techniques including TF-CBT, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and Coaching. As your therapist, I'm part of your team that wants you to succeed. I help you achieve your goals through teaching you strategies to feel more in control of your emotions and problems you're facing so that you're able to focus on living your best journey.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I'm a firm believer that therapy is for everyone. Mental health awareness is becoming more accepted & acknowledged, but there's still such stigma around talking about our struggles, even though we all have them. It's so important to me as a woman, a mother of young children, & a human in this world that I help bridge the gap in mental health as health acceptance. With the pandemic, the incredible social justice movements, climate change concerns, gun violence, our political environment, there are so many challenges in our lives. In therapy I focus on creating a safe space for my clients to find healing, which gives me a sense of purpose too. In my free time, I love being with my family, reading, watching movies, playing with my 2 kittens (100% animal lover & environmental enthusiast) & running. I'm still working on identifying as "a runner;" I ran my first half marathon in over a decade in 2022 so that counts, right? If I feel like a good fit for you, please feel welcome to message me.
