About My Clients
I also have experience in helping individuals address a wide array of issues and concerns including depression, anxiety, trauma including PTSD, bipolar disorder, stress management, and relationship conflicts. In addition, I have worked as a social worker with children in foster care and their families, and with youth and adults in a community mental health setting.
My Background and Approach
I earned my master’s degree in social work, with an emphasis on social justice, from Seattle University. I am passionate about helping individuals on their journey of healing and wellness. As a social worker, I have considerable experience in meeting people where they are at, both physically and emotionally or mentally. I utilize the person-in-environment theory, which emphasizes that one’s environment plays a crucial role in their mental health and overall wellbeing. As a social worker and a therapist, I have made a commitment to creating an anti-oppressive practice. This means that my approach to therapy values self-determination and empowerment, while acknowledging the importance of intersectionality. I will do my best work to address the impact that implicit bias and privilege can have on a therapeutic relationship.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the power of human connection - my goal above all else is to provide a safe and affirming space where you can tell your story and where we can build a foundation of trust where healing can begin. I will share with you the tools you need to succeed and provide you with support along the way. I am looking forward to connecting with you and helping you get started on your journey of mental wellness.
