About My Clients
Life can be overwhelming and sometimes even exhausting, but I’m here to guide and help support you through any obstacles you may face. My goal is to help you understand yourself more deeply and better cope with change. I work with folks that are working through transition through life changes, feelings of sadness, and anxiety. Though I work with folks identifying with all genders and all races/ethnicities, a lot of my clients are people of color, women, and folks that have disability.
My Background and Approach
BACKGROUND I earned my Masters in Counseling Psychology and Counselor Education at the University of Colorado at Denver. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the State of WA, a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPC) in the State of CO, and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). Over the past 9 years, my work has been in various settings working with children, adolescents, college students, and adults. Languages: English and Cantonese APPROACH My therapeutic approach includes utilizing evidence-based therapy from ACT, DBT, and CBT while including cultural sensitivity in our work. In therapy we will work on learning adaptive coping skills, learn about your own identity and self awareness, and collaboratively create a plan for treatment.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I identify as a daughter of Asian immigrants, Asian American, born with a limb difference and constantly working toward being anti-racist in my personal life and in my work. The journey continues.
