My Background and Approach
I offer a wide range of tools in the style of TEAM (Testing, Empathy, Agenda Setting, and Methods) CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). TEAM is an advanced style of CBT for individuals developed by Dr. David Burns as an evidence-based therapeutic approach that works for a variety of issues. It is powerful because it is founded on our open and collaborative client-therapist connection. We work through the semi-structured TEAM model that honors your core values and strengths. I have over 27 years of experience working with adults from all ages and identities. Many of them have things in common with you, but I treat each person as a unique individual. We are semi-structured as we set goals and measure progress regularly along the way. I have so much to offer you right now, yet I am always receiving more cutting edge training to help those with mood issues like anxiety, depression, anger, relationship problems, and behaviors.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe you can start to feel better, often within a few sessions, even if you have been struggling for awhile. I am an ally to BIPOC and LGBTQ folx and regularly seek trainings and info to become even more culturally informed and sensitive.
