About My Clients
As a Korean American therapist, I provide culturally responsible care to Asian American clients and have successfully worked with high-achieving working professionals struggling with perfectionism, feeling unfulfilled in life, highly stressed and often experiencing low self esteem, anxiety and depression. I work closely with issues around identity, person of color conflict and intergenerational family trauma that may be impacting relationship with yourself, others and the world around you.
My Background and Approach
Therapy is an intentional and meaningful work and I'm so glad you're here. My approach to therapy reinforces self compassion and support to meet your goals. My style is both warm, relational and realistic. I provide mindfulness based interventions and practices, while incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for depression/anxiety; and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) to understand your relationship with others as well as trauma-informed therapy while introducing Brainspotting for trauma healing. We will work through difficult childhood experiences and take a deep dive into how they are impacting your present daily living. Therapy can feel scary and I completely get it. This is your chance to make the change you always needed. I look forward to walking alongside you as you take this time to discover a new path and redefine this season of your life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I truly believe that healing and becoming more whole is possible. With courage, commitment to your therapy process and gentleness to self, we can work through the aches you've been experiencing. I value the concept of change as an integral desire and human need for healing. Together, we can walk through the steps of what change looks like for you.
