About My Clients
My clients are strong & successful women (and those that identify as women) that are seeking growth and change in their lives. Often they are moving through a live transition and seeking support. Some of my clients are managing chronic anxiety and depression, and some of them are healing from past traumas. All of my clients have a willingness to bring their whole selves to therapy!
My Background and Approach
Sometimes it's really hard for us to ask for help-especially when you're a strong, independent woman. Therapy is a great way to reach out, learn more about yourself, and grow through any challenges you might be facing. I am a 'Daring Way' Facilitator as well, and use this curriculum in both group and individual settings. 'The Daring Way' is based on the work of Brené Brown, Ph.D. 'The Daring Way' helps us live braver, more wholehearted lives. I also help women heal their relationships with food! I'm certified in Intuitive Eating & Health at Every Size, which allows us to focus on health, joyful movement, and wellness instead of size. My other speciality is working with women who are becoming mothers. The entry to motherhood can be a rocky one, and talking with someone supportive and trained in postpartum mood disorders can be essential. I love helping moms grow and integrate their old life into their new one.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in giving back, which is why give to Kiva, an organization that provides small business loans for women (and men!) in underserved countries. On my website, I always provide the story of the current woman that my practice is supporting through Kiva. I'm a strong advocate and ally for the LBGTQIA community and strive to provide informed and ethical care to women of all backgrounds. I'm sex positive for sure, and worked at Planned Parenthood League of MA for many years prior to private practice. I love reading, yoga, hanging out with my dog and cat, and binge watching Netflix and Hulu, and traveling when I can.
