In my role as a Psychologist, I believe in the importance of being flexible. I tailor my approach to the needs of each client with the overall goal of helping clients attain balance, self compassion, and a healthier level of functioning through the development of insight, self awareness, and coping skills. Instead of focusing on the “what is wrong with” you, we will explore the “what happened.” Many of the ways in which we think, feel, and act are influenced by our earlier experiences and are carried out in adulthood. To get out of very ingrained ways of being, we must pay attention to when these familiar patterns of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors come up which hinder us from living the way we really want to live. We will work collaboratively to identify, understand, and learn tools to cope with these patterns to allow you to increase your overall life satisfaction while improving your ability to cope with everyday stressors.
