About My Clients
Are you feeling misunderstood or perhaps not feeling heard at all? My intention is to offer a safe and non-judgmental space for adults to talk through past and present feelings and situations that may be uncomfortable, painful, stressful or overwhelming. I most often work with those experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, grief/loss, folks wanting to engage in identity exploration, as well as support to individuals within the LGBTQIA+ community.
My Background and Approach
Each person I work with is an individual, so I use an eclectic approach (which is always trauma-informed). I work from a framework that draws from psychodynamic theory, CBT, mindfulness, EFT and somatic experiencing.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Continuous collaboration between therapist and client is important in my practice and to those with whom I work. I do not give advice or have all the answers. I ask probing questions, offer insight and help explore options, keeping in mind that you are always in the driver’s seat. My communication style is compassionate, yet direct and honest, with a bit of humor. If you think I may be a good fit, feel free to call or e-mail me.
