About My Clients
Are you a type-A perfectionist who is tired of always doing the right thing? Do you wish that you could be truer to yourself and your own individual needs and boundaries instead of trying to always people-please? Are you dealing with the grief of losing loved one, a home, a job, a major relationship, or another type of loss? Are you an emerging adult trying to find your place in this world? Do you wish you had someone to encourage and guide you? I can help with any of these things, and more.
My Background and Approach
The tools and lessons I can help you learn about are something that I have been working to perfect over the last several years. It's my goal to listen to you, help you identify your needs, goals, and desired outcome for our work together, and then do everything I can to help you get there. I fully believe that everyone has the potential to take agency and impact at least some parts of their lives, even with the sometimes very real barriers that might exist. As a master's trained social worker, I understand how systems and outside forces can mold and shape our belief systems until we're not even fully aware of what we actually believe and what things that society is just feeding us as "the truth." I am confident that together, we can sort those things out. I have dealt with anxiety, trauma, depression, and identity confusion myself, so I know how hard it can be. I'd love to chat further with you to see if we might be a good fit to work together and get you feeling more empowered.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that the only person who should have a say over your life, your body, your relationships, and your family, is YOU. I am a firm supporter of bodily autonomy, consent, gender and racial equity, and basic human respect for all peoples. I believe that human beings have so much untapped potential, which often gets squashed down by a society that uses binary thinking as an automatic default, and refuses to see the spectrum in things. There is no ONE way to be; it's all about what feels most aligned to you as an individual. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, a feminist, and a strong pro-Roe advocate, I understand what it can be like to feel attacked by those close to you, and those who believe they know you but do not. I'm here to support and challenge you to be the best version of yourself you can be, not to judge you, convert you, or otherwise shame you for being exactly who you are.
