Anxiety can feel like stress, burn out, confusion, dread, nervousness, overwhelm, being “stretched too thin” or even anger. I support clients toward relief from symptoms such as irritability, avoidance (procrastination, using alcohol & other drugs, withdrawing or isolating), racing heart, digestive issues, sleep difficulties, or feelings of panic.
How we feel about our careers and the healthiness of our work environments have significant relationships to our mental and emotional health. I have successfully worked with many clients on 'imposter syndrome,' boundaries, finding career passions, work-life balance, healing from toxic work environments, job search struggles & successes, and exploring their next career step!
Your stress has been building for FAR too long; you don’t remember the last time you weren’t so overwhelmed or anxious. You can't stand how irritable you’ve become, especially around those you love. You want to be more present in your life and relationships. You want to feel like your old self again - or a new, calmer self - on a path of continued growth and success. I can help!
I work from an integrated, trauma-informed, person-centered approach. I believe you are the expert in your experience - even when everything feels confusing and difficult. I am a relational facilitator, here to support you on own path. Together we will co-create a brave and safe enough space to process, heal, create goals, and succeed in ways that are meaningful to you.
Each client has unique needs and responds to different styles. I use an integrated, trauma-informed, person-centered approach to get to know you including your counseling goals, values, strengths, learning styles, and needs as a client. I then tie in modalities such as Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART - somatic, eye movements), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and more.
I offer Accelerated Resolution Therapy, a highly effective treatment with focused eye movements and voluntary image replacement and does NOT require sharing traumatic details with me. It provides quick relief to process problem images and difficult sensations and emotions which are features of trauma. Please see my website for more information.
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is an integrated, somatic trauma-focused psychotherapy that uses eye movements and voluntary image replacement for rapid relief and recovery from distressing images and difficult sensations. Many folks really like ART because it does not require discussing trauma details and the process itself is calming. It's generally very effective in treating trauma (one-time incidents or complex trauma), anxiety, depression, phobias, grief issues and more.
