Using the modality of CBT and Gestalt therapy to guide the Client to understand the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors by developing relaxation skills that will be targeted to deescalate anxieties and stressors. The goal is to stop negative cycles by breaking down things that make you feel bad, anxious, or scared; so that your life is more manageable so your negative thoughts patterns can improve the way you feel.
Assist the Client by developing the tools to challenge the negative thoughts and override them with more realistic and positive thought processes. The Client will learn to identify and manage negative thoughts and behavior patterns that can contribute to their depression.
