About My Clients
My Clients work is to live out, moment to moment, choice by choice, authentic life stories that make their world more satisfying. Things are really hard right now - it is more important than ever to have support. That looks different for everyone, but whether it's relationship, work, family, parenting - or all of the above, create some space and a plan to walk through it - together. My Practice includes Individuals, Couples and Elders from all walks -
My Background and Approach
I came to this profession after four previous careers. They have all led me here, where I am privileged to assist my clients in finding their path, mining clarity and awareness along the way. Oftentimes clients need help in seeing patterns that cost them in terms of aliveness, creativity and identity. In reworking these old landscapes, change can occur to allow agency, space and freedom. My therapeutic approach is best characterized as a shared journey towards meaning - a way of being grounded in a safe environment to create insights that are unique to you. In Zen we call this "the tangling of eyebrows". My approach is steeped in Mindfullness, Neuropsychology and Attachment Theory. We can choose to live better, more aware lives that open our freedom to love, work and play. It is a journey of curiosity, compassion and courage.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we are all products of our experience and that largely, we are not responsible for what life hands us. ---------- I believe we have the ability and responsibility to process and move through difficulties and trauma mindfully to become aware and move towards peace. ---------- I believe in Interpersonal Neurobiology that moves the system naturally towards harmony and alignment. --------- I believe that regardless of your past, you can shift into conscious decision-making and awareness, transforming your life toward resilience, health and meaning. --------- I believe that often our stories and our own narratives may be imprisoning us and there is another way. ---------- I believe in integration of Eastern wisdom traditions with Western Psychology. --------- I believe in Psychotherapy that is intimate, relational, and grounded in presence. --------- I believe that nothing is permanent and this is the most important work you will ever do.
