About My Clients
Adults experiencing challenges with anxiety, depression, conflict, anger or relationships have benefitted from my approach. I have experience in Eldercare and those who provide care for seniors, as well as members of the LGBTQ community.
My Background and Approach
Trained as a drama therapist, I typically invite the client to use their own creativity in the session. A blend of creative arts, Role Theory, and the Cognitive Behavior Therapy model (CBT) helps the client create new pathways to thinking, reacting and managing the areas in their life they want to change or improve. We identify core beliefs and assumptions, and bring awareness and insight into behaviors, thoughts and feelings that suppress the client’s sense of ownership and freedom.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe we all create a spiritual presence in the space between us. We fill it with kindness, compassion, energy, and need. I believe you know a friend when you leave their company feeling better about life than when you arrived. I believe when I find someone disagreeable, it is me who needs to learn more about them. I try to always do more listening than talking, and more observing that reacting.
