My approach is cognitive and interpersonal, utilizing family systems theory and informed by many years of experience with diverse populations. I have expertise in working with adolescents and adults in both individual, couples, group, and family therapy. I believe if you can change how you think, you can change how you feel.
I also think humor is an important element in the change process. It helps one cope with problematic patterns and emotions in a way that is palatable to the soul, encouraging motivation for growth. It is useful to be able to laugh as you grow in therapy, making the process less intimidating and more satisfying.
