About My Clients
Sometimes we reach a season of life that we need a little help navigating, and the good news is that you do not have to do it alone. I truly believe in a collaborative counseling relationship that fosters encouragement and growth. I have experience working with clients across the lifespan including, but not limited to, individual adults, individual teens, couples, families, eating disorders, body image, grief, anxiety, depression, LGBTQIA+ issues, identity, self-esteem and self-harm.
My Background and Approach
I have extensive experience working with individual adults, individual adolescents/teens, couples and families. I have also worked with individuals diagnosed with an eating disorder in both an inpatient and outpatient setting. I strive to help you discover the purpose your eating disorder is currently serving within your life. I will guide you in finding healthy coping skills to replace eating disorder behaviors and cognitive reframing to address eating disorder thoughts and/or negative body image. Regarding couples and families, I believe that a strong foundation of communication is key, and utilize many activities to foster and build those skills. It is incredibly important to me to incorporate activities and techniques based on your unique experiences. Due to that, I create a treatment plan that will be shown to you and discussed during session so you know exactly what we are working on and ensure we are on the same page with therapeutic goals!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I help clients get to the root of what is preventing them from living the life they desire and create a plan to overcome those hardships. I offer an accepting, warm, judgement free environment that will allow us to explore your past, present and/or future to find the process that fits best for you. You are the expert of your own life and I am here to guide you through your journey. I welcome ANYONE to come in my office and find their safe space; I understand the importance of exploring your unique story and it would be an honor to walk alongside you. I know that this time in your life can be daunting, and I want to help you begin, or continue, your healing process and walk the path in life that you truly desire. Lastly, I find balance extremely important; anyone in my life knows that I am fiercely passionate and love to give back to my community in any way that I can. I promise to be your advocate and celebrate you!
