Working with the Transgender and Non-Binary community is my personal and professional passion.
I view clients as wonderfully-complex and believe treatment should adapt to meet them where they are at all times. I work to create safe spaces for clients to explore, heal, and grow that incorporate their own sociocultural realities into the therapy process. Rather than using a more universal approach, it’s important to me to collaborate with my clients as much as possible to adjust treatment in ways that best fit unique needs, preferences, and life experiences.
To do this, I may make use of different therapy treatment styles and theoretical orientations. These may include, though are not limited to, psychodynamic therapy, Family Systems therapy, LGBTQ+ Affirmative interventions, and providing psychoeducation and resources specific to clients’ own expansive gender and/or sexual identities and experiences.
