Using Gottman Couples Therapy interventions, I help couples to restore a sense of foundation to their relationship or marriage though re-building trust, teaching conflict management tools, and enhancing effective communication. My work incorporates elements of Emotion Focused Therapy, Physiological Self-Soothing, and Trauma-Awareness.
Using Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I help individuals with PTSD or who have experienced previous trauma to find a sense of inner peace and relief through exploring the trauma narrative, implementing self-soothing techniques, prolonged exposure, and equipping the individual to re-write their narrative with an awareness of their ability to regulate thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
Anxiety impacts each individual differently. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I help clients to establish their own understanding of how anxiety manifests in their body and explore ways to cope and manage. We will challenge and reframe negative thought patterns, work on physiological self-soothing, and implement emotional regulation tools.
I utilize Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which treats emotional problems such as anxiety, depression, and stress as a result of traumatic experiences.
I utilize the Gottman Method to counsel couples in distress. The Gottman method is an evidence-based and scientifically supported modality of treating couple conflict.
I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients address negative thinking patterns that are impacting their emotions, behaviors, and physiological response. CBT is effective in treating anxiety and depression and is a collaborative and approachable therapy experience.
