*Taking new clients. Reduced rates available.* I work with adult women via Telehealth with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and transitions. I love supporting people walking through darkness. I help you make sense of what you are going through, see your blind spots, embrace your strengths, equip you with coping skills, help you find your own road map, be with your feelings, and become your favorite version of yourself.
My Background and Approach
My style is warm, supportive, and directive. I am a somatic therapist, which means I help you identify how and where we block and store emotion and energy in the body. I am a trauma therapist, which means I look at how early childhood developmental trauma influences how we connect with others. I am a nature therapist, which means I help you connect with nature for healing and growth through relationship with plants, trees, elements, and ecosystems.
I have a Master of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling, a certificate in addiction counseling, and ten years of experience working as Mental Health Therapist.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy is a nurturing, safe and powerful place to grow and learn new ways of being with yourself and others. I also believe deeply in the healing power of nature.
My other work is as a Nature Guide in the greater Seattle area. I lead nature walks and teach classes about native, edible, medicinal plants and mushrooms, their physical, emotional and spiritual healing properties, and ethical and spiritual foraging practices to help people build relationship with nature. I love putzing around in old growth forests, hiking, backpacking, and making nature art.
