About My Clients
I enjoy working with adolescents, teens, & adults while providing individual, family & couples counseling. I use various therapeutic approaches based on the unique needs of each client. I also have experience treating a variety of symptoms, diagnoses, & issues. I'm proud to provide a non-judgmental environment for many different types of people & lifestyles. I truly believe that it's incredibly important to love & accept yourself, regardless of where you are in your journey of self-improvement.
My Background and Approach
I love working with a variety of ages, personalities, cultures, and lifestyles. Everyone is unique & should be appreciated for who and what they are, no matter what. It's important to have a variety of tools in my therapeutic tool box in order to match techniques to each individual. Everyone is unique & deserves to be treated as such. I can provide EMDR, DBT, MI, CBT, IFS, etc. And it's my belief that building therapeutic rapport is one of the most important aspects of therapy, which requires a secure and non-judgmental environment. My goal is to help people achieve self-acceptance while simultaneously working with them to achieve their own goals. Nothing gets in the way of personal growth like lingering feelings of shame, guilt & other negative core beliefs. I'm open to working with a variety of people & lifestyles including, but not limited to, the kink friendly, sex positive, and/or LGBTQ+ communities doing individual, couples, and family therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we all have the potential to change & grow throughout our lives. I don't believe that there is a limit to human capacity. Often times we develop mental health issues because they are learned behaviors, environmental, a result of childhood trauma, adult trauma, and/or attachment issues. We do the best we know how to in order to protect ourselves. Unfortunately, sometimes these defense mechanisms get in the way of our current ability to function daily, build healthy relationships, and develop self-esteem and self-compassion. The good news is that once we work through these issue, we can learn to overcome them and move forward. I truly believe that everyone should be treated with non-judgmental respect. I am open to all different walks of life, cultures, lifestyles, etc. A few areas of focus for me are working with the sex positive, kink friendly, and LGBTQ+ communities. But I certainly do not limit my practice to just these populations. Therapy is my passion.
