Welcome! I am a relationship and sex therapist skilled in helping couples and individuals find healthy and fulfilling intimate connections.
Clinical Social Worker in Denver, CO
Low/High Libido Desire discrepancy (one partner wants more frequent sex than the other) Improving sexual pleasure Sexual functioning concerns (erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, anorgasmia, vaginismus) Out of control sexual behaviors/sex addiction Sexual or Gender Identity exploration Healing from sexual trauma Sexual kinks or fetishes Sexual insecurities or fears
I often let clients know that sex therapy is like any other form of therapy with the addition of an “open door” to explore topics related to sexuality and intimacy with a highly trained and knowledgeable professional. Some clients walk through this door every session, some with some frequency, and some never at all depending on what they are looking for.
Couples who work with me often need support with communication and conflict. Additionally, they have interest in exploring sex and intimacy in their relationship. I work well with couples who appreciate a direct therapist skilled at highlighting patterns that they might struggle to see themselves.
Internal family systems is a theory of personality that we are all composed of different "parts" of ourselves instead of one unified personality. This modality resonates with me after years of hearing clients naturally say "well part of me thought 'X' and part of me thought 'Y.'" IFS is an intuitive form of self healing that helps clients expand their self compassion and self awareness.
My primary couple's therapy modality is EFT. EFT is an attachment theory informed modality that focuses on helping couples look under the surface of their recurrent conflict cycles. Couples who find themselves wondering why they are seemingly having the same argument over and over without resolution would be a great fit for EFT.
