I see both individuals and couples. I believe that once we have awareness about what we do and why we do it, we then have the power to do things differently. I enjoy working with issues around anxiety, depression, the "inner critic," feeling "stuck," relationship challenges, transition to parenthood, body image and/or disordered eating,
My Background and Approach
I believe therapy is a balance of support and challenge. I bring warmth, humor, and an active style to sessions. I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities including ACT, EFT, IFS, CBT, mindfulness and self-compassion, and our work together will help you develop personal insight, which you will then use to make changes that lead to a more fulfilled life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
If you're looking for someone to be on this journey of change with you, it's important you find a therapist that feels like a good fit. For you to decide if that might be me, here's what I think you should know: I believe in equity and justice for all. I believe Black Lives Matter. I am a Caucasian cis female and I stand beside the LGBTQ community as an ally. I work from a trauma-informed and anti-racist lens. I don't believe you need to align politically with your therapist, but if you strongly disagree with these statements I am not the right fit.
