About My Clients
If you struggle to believe you're good enough. that your needs matter, and that you're not a burden, I'm the best fit therapist for you. People often end up with a false narrative about who they are because family or society has created one for them. We work on breaking this narrative and writing one that aligns with who you really are. Clients often see positive change in their self-esteem, relationships, communication, and boundaries while working with me.
My Background and Approach
I've been offering therapy tools to individual adults since 2019. In this time I've helped clients manage anxiety and depression, build higher self-esteem, improve relationships, overcome body and food issues, make career changes, set boundaries with toxic family members, and heal from trauma. My approach is client-centered which means you're in charge of your wellness goals, I help guide you to success. We will focus on ways family and cultural systems have impacted your wellness and ways you can rebel against such systems if they negatively impact you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I'm a person first, therapist second, so I show up authentically in sessions. For that reason, and because the therapeutic relationship is important to success, here are some personal beliefs that clients should know before booking with me. As a fat, female clinician I often work with clients on breaking free from diet culture and patriarchy. I'm an advocate for BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities so my space is inclusive and safe for those communities. I'm a liberal millennial which means social justice and allyship are important parts of my work and I help every client question and rebel against oppressive systems and generational patterns. I'm aware of the privileges I possess based on my skin color and upbringing, so I'm conscious of how my experiences are different from others and I'm intentional about those conversations with each client.
