About My Clients
My clients are struggling with believing in their inherent worth, practicing healthy boundaries, and engaging in sustainable self-care. Their anxiety and depression are showing up instead of a sense of grounded, balanced, and embodied wellness. My clients are parents who are struggling to think/feel/behave in alignment with their values because of stress, limited support, unhealthy patterns, feeling stuck by past traumas, and dysfunctional systems. I see mostly individual adults.
My Background and Approach
I became a clinical social worker because I value human relationships, service, and social justice. Time working with people who have experienced trauma and loss helped me understand the importance of connection for healing. Mindfulness helps me practice reflection and curiosity. Becoming a parent has challenged me to develop self-compassion and patience. These are some of the core principles that I integrate into my work with others. My approach is compassionate, relational, and trauma-informed. I reflect functionally about both individual and systemic factors. Together we can explore what is working and what is getting in the way for you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I acknowledge that I walk through this world as a white-bodied person with tons of unearned advantage. I am a feminist, I am an ally to folks identifying as LGBTQIA, and I am actively engaged in anti-racism efforts and practices. I believe that embodied practices will help us integrate and heal our minds and bodies, both individually and collectively. I believe that we have all inherited racialized trauma and we are all responsible for healing those wounds.
