About My Clients
I work best with clients who are neurodivergent (ADHD and Autism), depressed, anxious, experiencing or recovering from relationship abuse, and/or trauma survivors. My aim is to provide a safe space where we can explore your current situation and come together to find ways to move past the challenges you are facing in your life. This may be achieved through counselling and the use of an integrative approach that considers cultural, environmental, and emotional factors.
My Background and Approach
I utilize a trauma-informed approach as the foundation for all of my therapy work. I use a holistic lens and work on identifying personal, environmental, and cultural factors that impact mental health to assist individuals in reaching their goals and improving their quality of life. I have worked in a variety of settings including working with children, families, adults, neurodivergent individuals, immigrants and refugees, and in the foster care system. I have worked extensively on new and innovative approaches to helping individuals who are struggling with intimate partner violence and emotionally abusive partnerships. I understand the struggles that come with experiencing significant trauma. I also understand the difficulty of navigating the world as a neurodivergent individual and the importance of community support and building healthy relationships.
My Values as a Therapist
I believe that a caring and nonjudgmental environment is the best space to grow and heal from trauma. I believe there is a path for everyone to heal their inner child and heal from trauma no matter their age or background. I believe in cultural humility and the importance of taking in an individual's cultural experience when working with them in therapy. You are the expert on your own life, I am here to help you realize that you already have everything you need to be successful! I am looking forward to working with you so if you are interested and want to learn more feel free to message me!
