I have a B.A. in Philosophy and an M.A. in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling. I spent my clinical internship working in community health settings and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) groups. I am currently working in private practice and an acute care psychiatric hospital. I am trained in Eye Movement Reprocessing and Desensitization (EMDR) therapy and am a Certified Compassion Fatigue Educator with the Green Cross. I have also had trainings in polyvagal theory, smoking cessation, somatic experiencing, and more during my time as a HRSA Behavioral Workforce Fellow.
I approach therapy from a variety of theoretical orientations. I am primarily influenced by polyvagal theory, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), EMDR therapy, narrative theory, family systems theory, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and person-centered therapy.
