My Background and Approach
As your therapist, I will meet you where you are. I will hold the space for the shadow side of parenting: worries, fears, rage, despair, loneliness, and guilt. I am trained in Perinatal Mental Health (infertility, pregnancy loss, prenatal/postpartum anxiety & depression) and specialize in supporting LBGTQIA+ individuals, couples and families. As a parent, I know the shadow side, and I know there is a light at the end of the tunnel. My journey into parenthood was unexpected, hard, and exhausting. Throughout my pregnancy, I imagined birth would be a beautiful relief into a more picture-perfect parenting experience. The relief didn't come with birth. Exhaustion and a hopeless cloud hung over my head. Counseling helped me learn how to manage my needs and to live a happier life in the role of parent. I provide services online throughout Washington State and In-Home throughout Mason & Thurston counties.
