About My Clients
I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, families, couples and those in the LGBTQIA community. I have worked with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, substance abuse, family issues and relationship issues. I also have experience working with those struggling with self-esteem, PTSD and other mental health diagnoses such as Schizophrenia and Bipolar Disorder.
My Background and Approach
I have a Master of Science degree in Psychology from Our Lady of the Lake University. I began providing therapeutic services through Community Counseling Services and am now in the private practice field . I have provided clinical services at UT Health’s Transitional Care Clinic, where I worked with adults with severe mental illness, the Rape Crisis Center where I worked with children, adolescents, adults and families who have experienced trauma, followed by Starlite Recovery Center, working with adults, adolescents and families contending with addiction and substance abuse As every client is an individual with different circumstances and needs, my approach to treatment is first and foremost client-centered, which means it’s all about you! We will work together to help you achieve your goals. I have experience with a wide range of treatment modalities including Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Art Therapy.
