My Background and Approach
Ken is a graduate level licensed mental health therapist and certified mental health coach with a rich background in Clinical Mental Health from Liberty University and Wright State University. Ken brings a personal history of overcoming trauma to his empathetic approach to therapy; he grieved the early loss of close family members, and also survived and rehabilitated from a severe car accident that debilitated him physically, cognitively, and emotionally. With seven years of experience at Kettering Health Psychiatric Hospital, Ken now specializes in helping individuals overcome anxiety, trauma, addiction, and relationship issues. Ken uses a variety of effective therapeutic techniques tailored to each client's needs. As a licensed therapist in the states of Ohio and Tennessee and a certified mental health coach to the rest of the world, Ken offers teletherapy and coaching sessions that focus on developing effective behavioral and communication patterns for individuals and couples.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I deeply believe in the transformative power of empathy and connection to help you build resilience for making the choices you know you need to make. Every one of my clients will attest to this: I will help you change your thinking in fundamental ways! When you change your thoughts; you change your reality. You may try and try and try to change our thinking, but the patterns of insecurity and doubt, assaulting you from your past, have worn deep grooves into your subconscious mind. I believe in your ability to change the way you think, and have developed a way for you to do just that. Rapport is the best precursor to effective therapy, helping you to address concerns through the emotional, cognitive, and social dimensions of your life.
