About My Clients
This practice is for young adults and college students who would like to get intensive psychotherapy and coaching for identity, immigrant, perfectionism, and LGBTQ issues. As a first-generation Korean American immigrant myself, I have understood what immigrant or second-generation students go through in college and the pressures of balancing academics and family expectations.
My Background and Approach
I holistically think of my patients- using medications, lifestyle interventions, and talk therapy. I was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea, and spent my childhood in Irvine. I went to Johns Hopkins and double majored in history and public health. After college, I attended the University of Maryland for medical school. After living in Baltimore for eight years, I wanted a change of scenery and moved to New Hampshire to complete my residency training at Dartmouth. I am currently serving as a faculty member at Loma Linda University. I have worked with college students who attended several prestigious schools such as Stanford, USC, UCLA, Berkeley, Chapman, and other Ivy League and high tier universities. I also have extensive experience collaborating with parents and teens who attend competitive high schools and help their parents balance their well-being and future goals. I advise young professionals post-college to help them navigate their well-being and professional aspirations.
