About My Clients
My favorite part of being a therapist is clients trusting me with their life stories. I love witnessing someone’s personal growth and seeing how their lives improve. My favorite mantra is "accept the things I cannot change, have the courage to change the things that I can, and have the wisdom to know the difference." If this speaks to you, please feel free to reach out and see if we are a good fit. Common diagnoses I see are eating disorders, OCD, anxiety, and depression.
My Background and Approach
I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with my Masters in Social Work. Our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are all connected so I work from a CBT lens to try to help people examine how they view different situations. From there, I implement DBT skills, such as distress tolerance, to help clients “ride the wave” of their emotional experience. Creating safety and trust in a therapeutic relationship is key and I keep that in mind every time I meet with someone.
