About My Clients
Kristen offers support to individuals facing diverse life transitions, work-related difficulties, stress management, academic performance concerns, social adaptations, peer pressures, identity exploration, anxiety, depression, personal development, and self-esteem enhancement. Kristen's clients range from children (ages 8+) to adults.
My Background and Approach
Kristen brings valuable experience from her tenure at a children's outpatient psychiatric hospital and within a community mental health setting. She recognizes the uniqueness of each individual and customizes treatment to align with their unique needs and preferences. Kristen draws from a diverse range of therapeutic approaches, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, solution-focused, and more. When working with children, she skillfully incorporates play therapy techniques and tailors her approach to suit their specific age and developmental stage.
My Values as a Therapist
Kristen places a strong emphasis on nurturing a therapeutic relationship as the foundational step in the therapeutic journey. She recognizes it as the cornerstone for making meaningful progress. To achieve this, Kristen prioritizes creating a secure and non-judgmental environment characterized by empathy and responsiveness.
