About My Clients

Have you been through a lot, yet struggle to cope and thrive? You want to reclaim your power and spirit, and heal from the past rather than relive it. You feel overwhelmed, disconnected, and like life has completely derailed. Trauma can profoundly change all aspects of life, altering your worldview, nervous system, ability to trust yourself or others. Whether you are here because of a single or multiple event(s), I am here to help support you.

My Background and Approach

I am a licensed therapist (LMFT and LPCC) and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional in California. I offer a warm, grounding, engaged, and compassionate presence. Specialties and experience: sexual abuse and assault, PTSD, anxiety, dissociation, depression, attachment trauma/wounds, childhood and developmental abuse. I use a blend of the following approaches: trauma-informed, neurobiological framework (polyvagal theory), mindfulness, somatic (body-mind), sensorimotor psychotherapy, psychodynamic, attachment theory, and narrative therapy. I use an integrative approach based on your history, needs, strengths, and response. Additional training: Sensorimotor Psychotherapy currently/ongoing.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that we have the ability and desire to heal and transform from pain and its aftermath. Trauma impacts all facets of life and can feel like you just cannot escape, as it can impede on your relationships, mind, body, nervous system, world view, sense of trust or safety, sleep and appetite, and more. I hold and embody the belief and approach that you are here right now because you survived and formed miraculous ways of coping. What helped you before might not be as helpful now. I would like to help you heal from trauma. As a first-generation Asian-American, I also understand the experiences of alienation, suffering, parental pressures, secrecy, and shame. I know that healing is possible - the journey unique to the individual. I am dedicated to self-improvement and expansion, including recognizing my privilege as a cis-gender, able-bodied female. I believe that survivors can recover, heal, find themselves again, and thrive.
