About My Clients
My clients are often struggling to cope with distress, manage difficult emotions, and build harmonious relationships with family and friends. I help those who are: feeling irritable or depressed; anxious, on edge, or constantly worrying; experiencing school or work stress; having difficulty focusing or completing tasks; having difficulty sleeping; struggling to communicate without escalation or shutting down; and/or drinking, using substances, cutting, running away, or other risky behaviors.
My Background and Approach
I foster a safe and non-judgmental atmosphere to help teenagers and young adults explore their feelings and initiate change. I use collaboration and encouragement to help clients learn new ways to cope. I utilize my client’s strengths and interests and my knowledge of specific strategies to customize treatment to fit their needs. I currently am seeing clients via Telehealth. I also see clients in-person via "Walk-and-Talk" therapy at a local park. At the park we can walk during our session, or we can sit on separate chairs safely masked and distanced. Update 10/2021: I am currently not accepting new clients, however, there are two other therapists in my practice who are. Feel free to call or check out our website for more information.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am an ally of the LGBTQ+ community and support clients who may be exploring their sexuality or experiencing distress or conflict related to their sexual and/or gender identities.
