About My Clients

Not getting anywhere in talk therapy? Struggling with persistent depression, anxiety or other mental health symptoms due to (c)PTSD, abuse/adversity in childhood? Willing to take the plunge using EMDR to learn about your own unique core belief system? Imagine how it would feel if that little voice that says you aren't good enough, lazy, or stupid were silenced and no longer caused distress.

My Background and Approach

My EMDR approach is designed to work either supplementary, while you are seeing a talk therapist, or independently as a focused service. I utilize EMDR to provide an effective treatment plan that gets to the root of the problem for real life changing results. By targeting negative core beliefs, I will lead you through EMDR to jump start your natural ability to process memories, events and beliefs and replace negative core beliefs with positive ones. I obtained my Masters degree in Counseling at City University in 2019 and my BA at University of WA in 2016. I obtained my EMDR training in 2021 and am currently working towards EMDR certification. I worked in community mental health for 4 years before opening my private practice.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I started thinking about how our early childhood beliefs dictate how we operate in the world when I obtained my first job at a Goodwill store. A lot of homeless people would come into the Goodwill asking for help, and I started to wonder about why people were homeless. Economic difficulties and challenges aside, I started to notice certain beliefs around those in poverty that they didn't deserve to have good things in their lives, or that life was supposed to be hard. In 2017 I had the opportunity to work in a crisis shelter while obtaining my masters degree in Counseling. I noticed very quickly that all of our clients in crisis had a history of childhood abuse, and had to overcome terrible adversity to just survive. In my studies through my masters program I learned about core beliefs developing in early childhood, and brain development and realized that I wanted to dedicate my life to helping others who have suffered abuse and neglect identify and change negative core beliefs.
