About My Clients
Are you experiencing depression, anxiety, or lack of support from the people around you? Have you been invalidated by loved ones and made to feel like the things you’re experiencing aren’t that big of a deal? Invalidation and difficulty coping are painful, and I don't want you to have to suffer anymore. Together, we can explore tools and develop insights that reduce anxiety and help you feel more understood. I am so excited to meet you, and to teach you tools to take your life back.
My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy uses a blend of tools and skills that can help you get to know your true self. My goal is to provide you with a genuine, authentic, and validating space to uncover your inner world and learn how to cope with whatever life throws at you. I am gentle yet direct, and take pride in creating a warm and welcoming space for my patients. Together, we’ll work to address anxiety, overwhelm, and sadness in your life. We'll start with what's going on in your life right now, figure out how you can regain a sense of calm, and help you work toward your goals. We'll figure out what you need to feel most secure, grounded, and resilient in your life, and will explore what it might look like for you to follow your own authentic path. We’ll also work together to identify unhealthy thought patterns, and gently replace them with kinder ways of thinking. I won't seek to change who you are, but rather, help you be the best version of yourself.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I support Black Lives Matter, believe in love across the rainbow, and assert that no human is illegal. I believe that we all deserve happiness regardless of ability level, and I actively work to identify and address biases and prejudice when they arise. I believe that judgment of ourselves and others creates deep and painful wounds, and that the toxic aspects of our culture impact our wellbeing on a deep level. I actively engage in my own therapy and believe that it's a vital part of my own growth process and self-care practice as a Highly Sensitive Person. As someone who has coped with depression, anxiety, and chronic pain, I have a deep and personal understanding of the struggles inherent with mental health concerns, and admire my patients for taking that difficult first step of seeking help. If you'd like to learn more, know that I would love to hear from you. Send me an email to get started today.
