About My Clients
Are you struggling to set limits and boundaries with your kids? Does your child or teen feel worried or sad? Is your teen taking about suicide or hurting themselves? Seeing your child struggle, whether 3 or 13, is so hard as a parent. Maybe you are preparing for the transition to motherhood, or struggling to adjust to being a mom. Perhaps you find yourself crying unexpectedly, or worried that you aren't connecting with your baby. Motherhood feels different than you imagined.
My Background and Approach
I use evidence-based treatments and a family focus to teach coping skills, repair relationships, and strengthen security within families . I also offer consultation sessions for parents to help with certain problems (sleep, feeding, toileting, homework, tantrums). I can help you define rules and develop connections with your children. With teens who struggle with intense emotions, destructive or impulsive urges, and behaviors, and relationship problems, our DBT comprehensive program is the perfect fit. Your teen will receive four services that will help them get control and create a life worth living for. Parents will learn how to create an environment that validates and supports their child. In addition, parents get out of ineffective cycles of crises with their teen. If you find yourself feeling overwhelmed with motherhood, please reach out. I offer a safe place for you to share your hopes and fears about your pregnancy, your baby, or struggles trying to balance all the roles.
