About My Clients
Your story is worth being told. I am passionate about creating space for my clients to tell their stories and author their future. You are the expert on your own life and author of your own story. I help adults and children in the areas of childhood trauma, trauma throughout the lifespan, spiritual or religious abuse and trauma, grief and loss, LGBTQIA+, anxiety, and depression.
My Background and Approach
I integrate body-based interventions for trauma as a holistic approach to healing from traumatic experiences. In therapy, I incorporate Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), self-compassion approaches, narrative therapy, and child-centered play therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I celebrate and welcome diversity of thought, belief, and identity. For those who have experienced religious trauma, I aim to create space for open exploration of beliefs of all backgrounds. In our work together, I embrace the definition of spirituality that you define to promote your autonomy. I affirm all identities in the LGBTQIA+ community and wholeheartedly welcome you—just as you are. Inside and outside of the therapy room, my work is oriented toward social justice and equity. I am committed to engaging in personal and professional work in learning to address oppressive systems that marginalize based on identity, race, ability, and orientation as they impact the mental health of the individuals in the system.
