Now more than ever, neurodivergent people who receive a diagnosis later in life are feeling overwhelmed by how to grieve their past of not knowing about their brain functioning and what tools can help in living a more fulfilling life in the present and future.
My Background and Approach
I have worked as a therapist since 2017. I have an M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy, which gives me the knowledge I need to help you sort through challenging family dynamics, relationship issues, and individual struggles such as anxiety, depression, and ADHD. I counsel individuals who discover their neurodivergence later in life. We process how they experienced life in their families. I open space for emotions to emerge as we explore neurodiversity implications. I assist in celebrating strengths and identifying executive functioning tools via inclusive therapy to better understand what your brain needs to thrive. I have a robust referral network if we need to include other people on your treatment team. I have experience sitting with and holding deep pain, joy, and increasing a better understanding of yourself and your place in life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the power of a strong and sturdy foundation that comes from building inner strength and resilience through processing and being aware of past and present emotional pain. Clients will hear me say frequently that the only way out is through. However, that is not a walk that needs to be done alone. As your therapist, I will hold your words and feelings with confidentiality and safety, without judgment, and with hope that there is always light on the other side of darkness. It would be my honor to participate in your healing, re-connection, reprocessing, and relearning who you are and who you choose to be. I am open to anyone who walks through my door. My mission is to ensure that my clients feel safe, heard, and respected when they sit with me through listening more than I speak, leaning in and remembering my clients' stories, and reminding my clients that I hold them in mind outside of our space together.
