About My Clients
My approach is rooted in person-centered therapy, which means I value your unique experiences and perspectives. I'll work collaboratively with you to develop strategies for coping with stress, anxiety, and other life difficulties. I'm available for virtual individual sessions for children, adolescents, adults, and couples in Virginia, with evening and weekend appointments to accommodate your schedule.
My Background and Approach
As a Resident-in-Counseling with a Master's in Education, I bring experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults in school settings. I believe in creating a safe and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the strength of human beings and their ability to grow through actionable steps. What is one thing you hope all your clients experience in therapy, regardless of their age or background? -I hope they experience increased hope, confidence, awareness. How do you help clients identify their strengths and use them to achieve their goals? -A question that I often ask is "What are you already doing that is working? Let's focus on what works best for you." Through that question, the hope is that the client's self-awareness and confidence increases. Most of the time, no one is starting at "ground zero" and your innate strengths as a human being are the reason why that is the case. I love helping people explore those qualities within themselves. If a client feels stuck, how might you help them take "actionable steps" towards growth? Even if the only action step you take consistently during a period of feeling "stuck" is having a glass of water, let's celebrate that.
