About My Clients
I work with adult individuals who have experienced relational and attachment trauma, as well as people navigating stressors related to anxiety, perfectionism, grief, life transitions, family stress, fertility/infertility, romantic relationships, sexual health, and gender and sexual identity. I work with couples struggling with communication, intimacy, life transitions, and adjusting to life after baby.
My Background and Approach
I practice from a relational, system, and trauma-informed perspective. My background is in trauma therapy and family psychology, and I used both of these perspectives to help clients identify and process through stuck emotions, beliefs, or traumas. I have completed training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and specialize in working with trauma and PTSD. In my personal life, I practice yoga and mindfulness often and strongly believe in the importance of understanding the body as it responds to trauma and mental health.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My practice is informed by a belief that all human beings are worthy of compassion and acceptance, and I invite my clients to show up exactly as who they are. I love working with clients from all backgrounds, and aim to work from a lense of social justice. I am committed to being anti-racist, body positive, sex positive, and affirming of the LGBTQIA+ population, as well as furthering my education in multicultural competency as a therapist and human being.
